access on iphone

Ok I'm not a techie so sorry if this is a dumb question.....
I am a freelance translater and absolutely love this software and use it daily. Every so often I search and check out other project management software but none come close - they are not suitable for my needs. This is perfect. Except for one thing - when I am out and about and away from my macbook - an email comes in with a project request (which I check on my iphone) and I have no way of checking my schedule to check availability.
I know there is no iphone app, so I tried to download directly on to my iphone and this doesn't work (probably obvious to most of you) - so how do you all get around checking your schedule away from computer? I'd appreciate any suggestions. thanks Jeannie

Well, admittedly, iPhone is not the best way to work with GanttProject.

If you were on Android I would suggest trying Ganttman app [1].
If you used iPad with bgi screen I would suggest trying GanttProject on RollApp [2] -- they need only web browser where you get a sort of remote desktop, and GanttProject runs pretty smooth. But it is going to be a huge pain on small screens.

There is Project Planner app for iOS [3] which reportedly can open GanttProject files. Can't say anything certain as I don't have any first-hand experience.

Probably the most efficient way of syncing your tasks in GanttProject with iOS is to export project into PDF and sharing it on some cloud storage which is available on iOS. This way you will have read-only access to all your tasks.
